Apple Cider Margaritas

Made with fresh pressed cider and spiked with a combination of tequila, brandy and spiced cinnamon simple syrup, these apple cider margaritas are the perfect cocktail for a chilly fall evening.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ounces apple cider 
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce brandy
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • ½ ounce cinnamon simple syrup

For the cinnamon simple syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick

For the garnish (optional):

  • cinnamon sugar (for rimming glasses)
  • apple slices
  • star anise
  • rosemary sprigs
  • cinnamon sticks

Instructions

For the cinnamon simple syrup:

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. 
  2. Whisk until sugar has dissolved completely. 
  3. Remove from heat and transfer syrup to a mason jar (or other glass container). 
  4. Add cinnamon stick to syrup. 
  5. Cover the jar and allow syrup to cool completely before using.

For the margaritas:

  1. Combine margarita ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. 
  2. Shake until cold. 
  3. Strain into prepared glasses and garnish before serving.

Notes

To make a 12-serving batch, combine the following in your favorite pitcher:

  • 18 ounces apple cider
  • 12 ounces tequila
  • 6 ounces brandy
  • 6 ounces lemon juice
  • 3 ounces cinnamon simple syrup

Store in a pitcher in the fridge without ice until ready to serve.
