Basil Grapefruit Martini

This basil grapefruit martini is made with fresh grapefruit juice and vodka, sweetened slightly and shaken with fresh basil leaves. It’s tangy and refreshing, with a subtle pop of aromatic basil for an elegant and invigorating drink.

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 1/2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 4 basil leaves, torn
  • For garnish: grapefruit wedge, fresh basil


  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the cocktail ingredients. Shake until well chilled. 
  2. Strain and serve straight up in a martini glass.
  3. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or a fresh basil leaf.
