Limoncello Margaritas

Sweetened with limoncello instead of orange liqueur, Italian margaritas are a unique twist on the traditional tequila cocktail. These limoncello lemon margaritas sure to brighten your summer cocktail repertoire with their beautiful yellow hue.

  • 1 1/2 ounces silver tequila
  • 2 ounces limoncello
  • 1 1/2 ounces lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • For the rim: lemon zest, granulated sugar
  • For garnish: lemon slice or wedge


  1. Combine sugar and lemon zest on a small plate and stir to combine. Use a lemon wedge to wet the glass and dip into the sugar mixture to rim the glass. Fill with ice and set aside.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and combine cocktail ingredients. Shake until cold and strain into prepared glass.
  3. Garnish with a lemon wedge before serving.
