How to make a love potion cocktail

Prep the garnish. Slice your strawberry in half lengthwise (from top to bottom through the green top). Remove the greens and use a paring nice to shape each half into a heart.

Mix the cocktail. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Measure your ingredients and pour them into the cocktail shaker. Cover and shake until cold.

Garnish and serve. Pour the cocktail into your prepared glasses and add your garnish. Serve immediately.

Love Potion Cocktail

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a love potion cocktail. While it won’t actually make someone fall in love with you, this fruity vodka cocktail features creme de cassis and elderflower liqueur balanced with tart pomegranate juice and bitters.

Ingredients 

  • 4 ounces vodka
  • 2 ounces St. Germain
  • 2 ounces creme de cassis
  • 2 ounces pomegranate juice
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 4 dashes plum bitters
  • 1 strawberry

Instructions 

  • Slice strawberry in half from top to bottom. Remove greens and shape each half into a heart with a paring knife. Place each strawberry heart on a cocktail pick and set aside.
  • Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Shake until cold and divide the cocktail between two chilled coupe glasses.
  • Garnish with each glass with a strawberry heart and serve.
