What is the difference between yellow and green Chartreuse?

Yellow Chartreuse is slightly sweeter and milder compared to its green counterpart. It offers a complex blend of herbal, floral, and honeyed flavors, with hints of saffron, chamomile, and citrus. green Chartreuse is more robust and intense. It boasts a bold herbal profile dominated by flavors such as anise, mint, juniper, and various botanicals. It is often described as having a spicier and more pungent taste.
Green Chartreuse is bottled at 55% alcohol by volume (ABV), making it stronger and more potent, while yellow Chartreuse is bottled at 40% ABV. Yellow is aged less than green, yellow – mild green – bold and intense

Why is yellow chartreuse expensive?

Yellow Chartreuse is made from over 130 different herbs, plants, and flowers. It’s made by monks of the Carthusian Order, the production process of Chartreuse is limited in quantity, labor-intensive and time-consuming.

    Naked and Famous Cocktail

The naked and famous cocktail is a modern-classic cocktail that incorporates the elements of smoky mezcal with herbaceous yellow chartreuse and slightly bitter aperol. Finished with a touch of fresh lime juice for brightness, this refreshing cocktail is a fun riff on the last word cocktail.
