This simple twist on a gin sour adds complexity and color with the classic aperitivo. The aperol sour includes gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and, of course, aperol. This beautiful cocktail features bitter, floral and citrus notes, and can be made with or without egg white.
- 2 ounces Aperol
- 1/2 ounce gin
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup
- For garnish: lemon twist
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add gin, Aperol, lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake until cold.
Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
Egg white/dry shake method: Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shake with an egg white. Shake for about 30 seconds. Then, add ice to the shaker and shake again until cold. Strain into cocktail glass.
