Cool, crisp, and ultra-refreshing — this cucumber margarita is everything you need on a hot day. Fresh cucumber juice adds a light, clean twist to the classic marg, making it perfect for patio sipping, taco night, or just kicking back with something green and gorgeous in your glass.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 2 ounces cucumber juice*
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur (such as Cointreau)
  • 1/2 ounce agave nectar (optional)
  • For garnish: salt (cucumber slice)

Instructions

  • Make the cucumber juice. Peel two English cucumbers and add them to a blender. If you want the juice to be darker, leave on a little bit of skin.
Blend until smooth and strain the juice. Discard any remaining pulp. 2 cucumbers should yield roughly 2 cups of cucumber juice.
  • Shake your cocktail. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, cucumber juice, lime juice, orange liqueur and agave. Cover and shake until cold.
  • Garnish and serve. Use a lime wedge to rim a cocktail glass with salt and fill with ice. Strain cucumber margarita over the ice and garnish with cucumber or lime slices before serving.
