- 2 ounces tequila
- 2 ounces cucumber juice*
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1 ounce orange liqueur (such as Cointreau)
- 1/2 ounce agave nectar (optional)
- For garnish: salt (cucumber slice)
Make the cucumber juice. Peel two English cucumbers and add them to a blender. If you want the juice to be darker, leave on a little bit of skin.Blend until smooth and strain the juice. Discard any remaining pulp. 2 cucumbers should yield roughly 2 cups of cucumber juice. Shake your cocktail. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, cucumber juice, lime juice, orange liqueur and agave. Cover and shake until cold.
Garnish and serve. Use a lime wedge to rim a cocktail glass with salt and fill with ice. Strain cucumber margarita over the ice and garnish with cucumber or lime slices before serving.
