This gingerbread syrup, made with sweet molasses, fresh ginger, and a blend of seasonal spices, will infuse a festive spirit and the flavor of freshly baked gingerbread cookies into your holiday drinks.
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger (grated)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Fill a large saucepan with water and bring to a boil.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Allow to cool and transfer to a mason jar or other airtight container.
