Jalapeño Simple Syrup

Spice up your cocktails with this jalapeño simple syrup recipe. It’s super easy to make at home and you can make it as mild or spicy as you’d like. This spicy simple syrup can be stored for up to a month in the fridge.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 medium jalapeño (sliced)

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring the liquid to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Add the pepper slices to the syrup and allow it to steep for a minimum of 1 hour (ideally overnight). Strain into an airtight container.
  • Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
