- 6 ounces tequila
- 3 ounces lime juice
- 3 ounces ginger simple syrup*
- 2 ¼ ounces Cointreau (or triple sec)
- 1 tablespoon tamarind puree
- For garnish: chili lime seasoning
Using a lime wedge, rim 4 glasses with chili lime seasoning.
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Cover and shake until cold.
Strain into prepared glasses filled with ice.
*To make ginger simple syrup: Mix 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger in a large saucepan over medium high heat, stirring as needed, until dissolved. Remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool to room temperature. Strain into a storage container or bottle and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
