Cantaritos

If you love a grapefruit paloma or a classic margarita, you're going to love this unique Mexican cocktail. Cantaritos are made with a blend of citrus juices, tequila and grapefruit soda served in a traditional clay pot, or cantarito de barro.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 1/2 ounce orange juice
  • 1 ounce grapefruit juice
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 2 ounces grapefruit soda
  • For garnish: citrus slices (chile lime seasoning)

Instructions

  • Rim glass with chile lime seasoning. Set aside.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, orange juice, grapefruit juice and lime juice. Cover and shake until cold.
  • Strain into a cantarito glass filled with ice and top with grapefruit soda.
  • Garnish with a citrus slice, or two. Serve immediately.
