Orgeat is a sweet and nutty syrup that's made from almonds, sugar, and rose and orange blossom water. This creamy syrup has a really unique taste to it, but can be tedious to make at home. My recipe for orgeat syrup uses an easy-to-make hack that will get you there in no time.
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon orange blossom water
- 1/4 teaspoon rose water
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 teaspoon vodka
In a large saucepan, stir the almond milk and sugar together. Heat over medium until the sugar is dissolved, stirring as needed.
Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients.
Transfer to a mason jar or bottle and refrigerate until ready to use.
