Why we love these white christmas margaritas

  • This cranberry ginger margarita is a fun twist on my regular cranberry margarita, but the addition of ginger beer gives it spicy, holiday spin.
  • Virgin margaritas? If you want to make a non-alcoholic version of this drink, simply replace the 4 ounces of tequila with an additional ounce of cranberry juice and lime juice. Then add a little extra ginger ale to fill up the cup.

Ingredients & substitutions for christmas margaritas

  • White cranberry juice – you could swap for a regular cranberry juice but you will have a red christmas margarita instead of white.

How to make white christmas margaritas

Rim your glasses. Salt or sugar? You can go either way here. I actually prefer a mix to rim these cranberry margaritas. Once they’re rimmed, fill them with ice.

Measure the ingredients. Add tequila, cranberry juice and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

Shake and strain. Shake the margaritas until the shaker gets super cold. Then, strain them into your prepared glasses, dividing the amount equally.

Wash and garnish. Fill the rest of the glass with ginger beer, and top with your favorite garnish. I like a few fresh cranberries and rosemary because it seems extra festive, but you can also go with a traditional lime wedge.
