Why you’ll love the honey deuce:
Let’s talk about the cocktail of tennis season — the Honey Deuce. It’s fruity, classy, and a great excuse to watch the U.S. Open with a drink in hand (even if you don’t really understand the scoring — no judgment here).
Made with vodka, lemonade, and a splash of raspberry liqueur, this cocktail is crisp, just sweet enough, and dangerously easy to sip. Not to mention, those iconic melon balls are the perfect garnish for a tennis cocktail.
I honestly can’t think of a better drink to sip on while watching tennis champions show off their skills on a warm summer day. Plus, this cocktail is super easy to batch if you’re entertaining!

Ingredients + swaps:
- Vodka – This cocktail is traditionally made with Grey Goose, but you can use your favorite vodka. The
- Raspberry liqueur – Chambord is my go-to for raspberry liqueur, but there are plenty available to choose from. I wouldn’t recommend anything super sweet unless that’s your thing.
- Lemonade – Fresh squeezed or homemade lemonade is going to be your best option, but if don’t have time for that, be sure to pick up a quality lemonade made with real lemon juice.

Mel’s cocktail tips + tricks
- Fresh squeezed is always best. I recommend juicing your citrus when you’re making your cocktail, but if you need to prep, do it as close to when you’re serving as possible.
- Always chill your cocktail glasses. If you have room in your fridge or freezer, pop them in ahead of time. If not, chill them with ice while you make your drinks!
