Why we love this lemon drop martini

  • This cocktail was inspired by the blueberry lemon drop martini that’s featured on Bonefish Grill, but we use more traditional lemon drop ingredients.
  • Adding limoncello really enhances the lemon flavor of the cocktail, and I just love that extra zip of flavor.
  • I find that fresh blueberry simple syrup is the best way to add blueberry flavor to this martini because it yields that smoothest texture, as opposed to muddled blueberries.

Ingredients & substitutions

  • Vodka – You’re going to want to use a good quality vodka for this recipe, but you also don’t need to go top shelf, either.
  • Limoncello – This is an Italian lemon liqueur. If you can’t find it, or don’t have it on hand an orange liqueur, such as triple sec would work.
  • Lemon juice – Fresh squeezed lemon juice is going to give you the best flavor.
  • Blueberry simple syrup – If you don’t have blueberry simple syrup, you can muddle fresh blueberries (in the cocktail shaker before adding the cocktail ingredients) and then use regular simple syrup or agave nectar.
