Why we love this christmas gin cocktail

  • The mix of these festive flavors is spot-on for the holiday season. It’s slightly sweet with the touch of maple syrup and combined with the botanical flavors of gin – this cocktail is perfect for any Christmas celebration.
  • We love a good fizzy cocktail and this cocktail has two different options for bubbles. Serve it with club soda or ginger beer, you guests will love having the option!

Ingredients & substitutions

  • Gin
  • Cranberry juice
  • Lime juice – Fresh squeezed is always the best option for a vibrant fresh tasting cocktail, but you absolutely can use bottled lime juice – skip the sweetened syrup though or it will throw off the taste.
  • Maple syrup – We recommend using real maple syrup for this recipe for the full flavor profile, pancake syrup just won’t do the trick here.
  • Ginger beer or club soda – Opt for club soda if you prefer a lighter cocktail (with a little less sugar) but the ginger beer elevates the flavor of the cocktail.

How to make a christmas gin cocktail

Fill a cocktail shaker. Add ice and all ingredients, except club soda or ginger beer, to a cocktail shaker. Shake until contents are well chilled.

Top with bubbles. Strain and pour into a cocktail glass over ice, leaving enough room for club soda or ginger beer, whatever you choose. Fill the remainder of the glass with your choice of bubbles and garnish with fresh cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.
