Peanut butter and jelly shot garnished with a mini pb and j

Why we love peanut butter and jelly shots

What could be better than the classic combination of peanut butter and jelly? A boozy peanut butter and jelly shot.

Having a peanut butter and jelly shot is like being an adult and a kid all at once, the nostalgia of childhood with the freedom of adulthood. Ok. That was a little philosophical, but you get the idea.

These PB&J shots are super simple to make with equal parts peanut butter whiskey and raspberry liqueur. Serve this fun shooter at your next party garnished with a mini PB&J sandwich.

Ingredients & substitutions

  • Chambord – Feel free to substitute any raspberry liqueur for the Chambord. You could also use a grape, strawberry or any other traditional “jelly” flavored liqueurs in place of the raspberry (there are plenty of options to choose from).
  • Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey – You can use any brand of peanut butter whiskey you prefer. You can also substitute a nutty liqueur such as Frangelico if you want to lower the ABV of this shooter.

How to make peanut butter jelly shots

Mix the shooter. Fill the cocktail shaker with ice, and add the peanut butter whiskey and Chambord.

You should be able to mix up at least 4 shots in one cocktail shaker, so use that math you learned in school to scale up if you’re serve more than 2 people.

Shake until cold. Shake the contents vigorously to combine well and chill. This should take about 30 seconds, and if you’re using a metal shaker, you’ll know its ready when your hands get cold.

Pour and serve. Strain and pour contents of cocktail shaker into shot glasses. Top with mini peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for garnish.

What alcohol tastes like peanut butter?

There are a few different brands of peanut butter flavored whiskeys out there. We used Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey for this recipe, though I’m sure you could substitute a different brand.
