Why we love this Irish trash can drink

  • This drink packs more punch than the Long Island Iced Tea plus it’s highly caffeinated, so you are likely to have a great time with this one.
  • If you aren’t careful, you might end up trashed.
  • You don’t have to serve this with the whole can of Red Bull. Feel free to top it off with Red Bull and give it a stir, you’ll be left with a beautiful emerald green cocktail.

How to make an Irish trash can

Layer blue curacao. Pour blue curacao into the bottom of a highball glass.

Fill glass with ice. Add ice until glass is about â…” of the way full.

Add remaining ingredients. Pour gin, vodka, tequila, rum, triple sec and peach schnapps over ice.

Top with open red bull can. This can be a tricky step. Carefully, pour a small amount of red bull as you insert the open can into the cocktail and rest it on the ice. You want to have the opening of the can fully submerged into the cocktail so the red bull continue to pour into the glass as you drink.

    By: Melissa Belanger
The Irish trash can is a hard-hitting cocktail with a blast of caffeine. This quirky cocktail is a variation of the Long Island Iced Tea, with blue curacao and peach schnapps topped off with a can of Red Bull. If you don’t like drinking green beer on St. Patrick’s day, try sipping on this color changing cocktail.
