  • With just a few simple ingredients, the Malibu Bay Breeze is incredibly easy to prepare. You don’t have to be a mixologist to pull off making this cool and revitalizing cocktail, just add the ingredients to a shaker and shake!

Ingredients & substitutions

  • Malibu – You can use any brand of coconut rum for this recipe, Malibu is what we used for this recipe.
  • Pineapple juice – The lovely foam in this cocktail is created when the pineapple juice is shaken well in the cocktail shaker. If you are not getting enough foam, keep shaking.
  • Cranberry juice – It’s what gives this cocktail it’s pretty pink hue, but it also adds a crisp, tartness creating an additional layer of complexity.

How to make a malibu bay breeze

Fill a cocktail shaker. Add all ingredients with ice to a cocktail shaker.

Shake. Vigorously shake the cocktail shaker until contents are well chilled.

Garnish and serve. Strain and serve over ice, garnishing with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry.

    Malibu Bay Breeze

    The Malibu bay breeze is a tropical twist on the classic bay breeze cocktail. This summer cocktail combines smooth, creamy coconut rum with the vibrant flavors of cranberry and pineapple juices. Served over ice and topped with a cherry, this is a perfect poolside cocktail!

    Ingredients 

    • 2 ounces Malibu coconut rum
    • 4 ounces cranberry juice
    • 2 ounces pineapple juice
    • Pineapple slice, for garnish, optional
    • Maraschino cherry, for garnish, optional

    Instructions 

    • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
    • Add coconut rum, pineapple and cranberry to the shaker.
    • Shake vigorously until contents are well chilled.
    • Fill a highball glass with ice.
    • Strain contents of the strainer over ice.
    • Garnish with a pineapple slice and a maraschino cherry, and serve.
