Why we love this frozen cherry limeade
- We love this simple recipe for the summertime. Cherries are in season and we’ve been going crazy for them lately, but I still use frozen cherries in this recipe because it’s just a whole lot easier. If you want to use fresh, go for it. Just don’t forget to pit them.
- To give this recipe an extra pop of flavor, I like to toss in a half of a whole lime, a la Brazilian lemonade, to give it some extra zest.
- You can easily customize the sweetness in this recipe. I like mine a little tart, but feel free to add more sugar, depending on your preferences. I recommend starting with the amount listed and tasting before adding extra.

Equipment
Ingredients & substitutions
- Frozen cherries – You want dark sweet cherries for this recipe, not tart pie cherries.
- Limes – Fresh squeezed lime juice is the best.
- Granulated sugar – No need to make simple syrup here. The sugar will melt into the liquid as it blends.
How to make a cherry limeade
Blend your drink. Add the ingredients to a blender and process on high until smooth, adding more ice if needed.
Garnish and serve. Pour cherry limeade into glasses and top with club soda (if desired). Garnish with a cherry and a lime wedge before serving.
